anime central 2025 date: may twentieth, 2025
WHOO i just got home from anime central! in case you don't know what that is, it's an anime convention in the chicago area that takes place every may. this year i went all 3 days and had soooo much fun and also that's why i didn't touch the site for like a week orz
i'm a pretty amateur cosplayer all things considered, but i do really enjoy it!
this year i cosplayed ashley graham from resident evil 4 remake, ema skye from apollo justice: ace attorney, and futaba sakura from persona 5. i won't be posting any photos tho imagine it in your mind lol
i got a ton of cool stuff this year also! i was really surprised i found as much ace attorney stuff as i did in artist alley. i guess aa4/5/6 getting a switch port and the release of the investigations duology kinda pumped some life back into the creative side of the fandom, which i'm never upset about
i also got to spend time with a bunch of friends, in particular 2 that i hadn't met irl before. some of us from that friend group unfortunately couldn't make it, but next year we'll for sure get everyone together!
i am now very sneezy and throatsore from a combination of con crud, spring allergies, and The Dust (chicagoland had its first dust storm since 1934 on friday). my legs also hurt bad still and i'm down approximately 200 smackaroos and exhausted, but despite it all it was so worth it and i'm already looking forward to next year!
p.s.: shoutout to whoever booked the mac attack booth for the food area in the convention center fr being able to get just a plain bowl of pasta actually saved my life
